Wendi Sands, Teacher

Wendi SandsMrs. Sands joined the Redeemer Day School staff in 2006, the year after it opened its’ doors in 2005. She and her husband Dusty live in McKinney with their son Landon. Wendy and Dusty have two children in college, their son Skyler who attends Texas State University, and their daughter Haley who attends Stephen F. Austin State University. The Sandses are members of First United Methodist Church in downtown McKinney, Texas.

Mrs. Sands’ favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 22:6, tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” As a Christ follower, she believes she must develop the whole child; spiritually with biblical truths, socially, physically, emotionally and academically, with fun, hands-on learning experiences.

When Wendi has free time, she enjoys making care packages for her two children away at college, making cards and crafts with her Stampin’ Up! business, scrapbooking past family memories, and making new memories with her family and extended family on vacations.
